Writing/Editing Experience

  • Managing Editor for Matrix Medical Communications, July 2017-present – Managed Bariatric Times, the leading multidisciplinary journal in the field of metabolic and bariatric surgery, until the journal’s discontinuation at the end of 2023. Continues to manage digital projects associated with the BT brand, including email newsletters, supplements, and video content. Also manages Hot Topics journal series, which provides sorted and summarized evidence-based information to healthcare professionals in disciplines such as oncology, dermatology, hematology, and diabetes. Beginning in 2024, serves as the managing editor for JCAD NP+PA Perspectives in Dermatology, a supplement series to the company’s monthly journal. JCAD NP+PA is peer-reviewed, published 6 times per year, and is meant for nurse practitioners and physician assistants in the field of dermatology. Continues to serve as managing editor of Innovations in Clinical Neuroscience, a quarterly peer-reviewed, digital-only journal. Run data department, completing metrics reports for email campaigns and special projects.
  • Intern for toplaxrecruits.com, January 2015-December 2017– create rankings of top 10 high schools of Midwest region each week for boys and girls lacrosse, run Twitter account for Midwest, which surpassed 800 followers
  • Editor/Writer for The Brown and White, August 2013-May 2017 – semi-weekly, student-run newspaper; As editor, assigned stories, led group of nearly 100 staff writers and editors, edited articles, helped with layout of print version, updated front page of website. Wrote articles for all four sections, but mostly sports. Wrote more than 150 articles, more than any other writer. Held position of Managing Editor for one year and Sports Editor for one year. Managed paper’s sports Twitter account for three semesters
  • Intern for Lehigh Sports Information Office, January 2017-May 2017 – wrote previews, press releases and feature stories, assisted with and live-tweeted games, took photos
  • Contributor for Lax Sports Network, January 2017-May 2017 – provided regular coverage on Lehigh men’s lacrosse team; attended practices, interviewed players/coaches, shot and edited video footage, provided post-game audio reports
  • Web Intern for NBC Sports Philadelphia, June 2016-August 2016 – helped manage website, proofread articles, published stories, edited photos, did original reporting such as Philadelphia Sixers pre-draft workout and Philadelphia Eagles training camp
  • Sports Intern for Daily Local News, May 2015-August 2015 – attended sporting events and wrote game recaps and features, live-tweeted games, met nightly print deadlines, was published numerous times on front page of sports section; wrote about 25 articles total
