Despite the Cardinals’ late comeback, the Eagles were able to get their seventh win of the season in a game that could easily have playoff ramifications later in the season. While the game was still close, the Eagles managed to dominate most of the game. Nick Foles passed for another 3 TDs while throwing no interceptions, although he did have one terrible pass that was picked off that got called back because of a penalty. … Continue reading →

If the playoffs started today, the Eagles would be the fourth seed in the NFC. Well, I certainly didn’t see that coming. While the season still has many games left, it would be crazy if they were able to make it into the playoffs after such a terrible start to the season. They got another key division win in this one after defeating the Redskins for the second time this season and moving up into … Continue reading →

The words “quarterback controversy” should never appear in a sentence again this year when talking about the Philadelphia Eagles. Whether Michael Vick is hurt or not, Nick Foles should be the starter. His performances in the last two games have just been too good to overlook, and the fact that Foles hasn’t officially been named the starter is just stunning. In fact, Head Coach Chip Kelly actually announced that he still hasn’t named a starter … Continue reading →

I think I can safely say that approximately 0% of people in the world expected Nick Foles to throw for 7 TD passes yesterday. As much of a Foles fan that I am, I still didn’t think he would dominate to that extent. 7 TDs, 0 INTs, and a perfect 158.3 passer rating are basically the greatest stats you could ask for from a QB. He literally did nothing wrong. He had more TDs than … Continue reading →

Wow, that was a bad game. I mean that was really, really bad. The only touchdown for the Eagles came off a muffed snap on a punt late in the fourth quarter when the game was pretty much over anyway. I actually attended the game myself hoping that they would crush the lowly Giants, but I was met with a very unpleasant surprise. What happened to the Eagles’ “amazing” offense? It sure didn’t show up … Continue reading →

It was extremely hard to find something good about the Eagles’ performance yesterday. That’s because they did pretty much everything wrong. This is a team that, coming into the game, had one of the best offenses in the league. But, they managed to score only 3 points against one of the worst defenses in the league. How did that happen? It’s simple: the Eagles are an inconsistent football team. And not only that, but they’re … Continue reading →

Well, the Eagles no longer have a losing record. They’re back to .500 with a record of 3-3. Does this make them a good team now? Eh, I can’t exactly say that. The teams they’ve beaten have a combined record of 1-14, so it’s not all that special. The Eagles have seemingly played only bad defenses this year (except Kansas City), but Tampa Bay was supposed to be a challenge on defense and they handled … Continue reading →

The Eagles got back on track on Sunday with a win over the Giants, moving to 2-3 on the year and moving them to the top of the NFC East. Yes, they are actually tied for the lead of their division with a losing record. While this will likely change, they can at least feel like they are winners for a little while. They actually did play a pretty good game though. They had a … Continue reading →

Well, nothing about yesterday’s game was very surprising. I mean, anyone who sincerely thought the Eagles had a chance to beat the Broncos is either delusional or just kidding himself. Even though the score was relatively close at halftime, there was no way the Eagles were going to come back and win. But while some people might blame the loss on the fact that they played the Broncos, the Eagles deserve a lot of the … Continue reading →

26-16 doesn’t sound like the Eagles got crushed, but believe me, if you watched the game, you’d know that they did. There was almost nothing positive to take out from that game. The offense, which only committed two turnovers total in the first two games, gave up the ball 5 times last night against the Chiefs. That’s just completely unacceptable. In addition, Michael Vick was sacked 6 times and posted a passer rating of 49.4. … Continue reading →
